Day 2: Hanoi – Train to Sapa

Today, we enjoy a full day city tour of this charming capital city including the mausoleum of the nation's founder Ho Chi Minh (close on Monday & Friday), the Presidential Palace, the Ho Chi Minh's house on stilts, the One Pillar Pagoda, the Temple of Literature, the impressive Ethnologic Museum (or Museum of Fine Arts, Army Museum, History Museum, Woman Museum, Hoa Lo Prison), the beautiful West Lake, the Tran Vu Pagoda, the peaceful lake of the Restored Sword. Late afternoon we take a cyclo tour for a short excursion through the bustling old quarter streets named after the specific goods once offered for sale at these places. This evening, we will transfer you to the train station to experience a Vietnam train ride to Lao Cai.
Day 3: Lao Cai – Sapa Homestay

Day 4: Giang Ta Chai – Ban Ho Hometay

After your breakfast with pancake made by your host family, we continue trekking to Giang Ta Chai village and Su Pan village of the red Dzao minority. After picnic lunch at a roadside famliy, we keep on hiking to Ban Ho, the village lies within a beautiful valley, home to the Tay minority people who have their traditional house on stilts and it is where we will spend the night. Upon arrival, you are free at leisure. Again, you can join your guide to prepare dinner or walk to explore the village's school...Overnight in Ban Ho.

Day 5: Ban Ho – Sapa – Lao Cai & Train to Hanoi

2km walking to a very nice waterfall discovered and named “the Lavie” by the French during the colonial time in Vietnam. Enjoy swimming then go up to the mountain to visit a small hamlet of the Red Dzao people called Nam Toong before getting back to Ban Ho for the pick up by car back to Sapa. Again, we have already arranged a room for you to have shower before the short drive to Lao Cai railway station for a night train to Hanoi.
Day 6: Hanoi – Ha Long Cruise

Pick up from the train station, this morning, we have already arranged a room in a mini hotel for you to have shower and breakfast. We start at 8.00 A.M for the 3 hour drive (170 km) through the Red River Delta, which offers plenty of chances for taking photos of Vietnamese farmers tilling the vast green paddy fields. At half way, we'll have a visit to a handicraft workshop with fine clothes, embroidered paintings, stone statuettes and all kinds of gems mined in Vietnam such as star rubies or sapphires... Our destination is the World Heritage Site of Ha Long Bay. The bay offers some 3000 mountain islands and islets towering in the Gulf of Tonkin in the East Vietnam Sea.
Upon arrival, you'll be welcomed on board our luxury junk and treated with wine and fresh local seafood. As our junk gliding further into the tranquility of Ha Long Bay amid the towering mountain cliffs and on the emerald green water, you'll have relaxing time combining the fine tastes of the wine and the freshness of Ha Long Bay. Day 7: Hanoi – Ha Long – Flight to Hue

After breakfast, we'll take a little sampan to visit a secret lagoon of Ha Long Bay while the surrounding mountains are just waking up. After that our cruise takes us further into the Bay of Bai Tu Long traveling past the Human Head Island, the Turtle Island, and the Duck Islet... to the studio site where the famous Indochine film was shot. Around noon, our junk travels back to the harbor, pick up and drive back to Hanoi. Stop in Hai Duong to visit the famous Con Son pagoda. Transfer back to Hanoi Airport for your afternoon flight with Vietnam airlines to Hue. Pick up and transfer to your hotel, evening free at leisure in Hue.

Day 9: Hue – Hoi An Homestay

After breakfast, we drive to Hoi An, a major Asian trading port in the 17th and 18th centuries whose architecture and relaxed lifestyle has changed little over the years. This scenic drive passes through the fishing village of Lang Co before climbing over the Pass of Ocean Clouds. Along the way, stop in Danang to visit the Cham Museum, which contains the finest collection of Cham sculptures in the world.
